The staff was really friendly and made me feel very welcome. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
I thought the breakfast situation was very weird - I didn't expect to be able to have something because I was leaving so early in the morning, but because breakfast was arranged through a ticket to a local bar I was able to stop by in the evening - the host suggested I get an ice cream. When I stopped by the bar I discovered that the ticket was only worth 1 euro and 90 cents - enough to get EITHER a coffee or a croissant, but not enough for an ice cream. When I thought about it I didn't understand how this could really be a bed and breakfast if you have to choose between coffee and breakfast. The maintenance on the property could be greatly improved - I wanted to take a bath but found the tub to have a layer of sand at the bottom. I was informed when I arrived that the window in my room was broken, but the heat was too unbearable for me to leave it closed (there were other empty rooms so I am not sure why I was placed in one without a working window). I opened it anyway and found that one side worked fine but the other was coming off the hinges. The host soon arrived to close the windows and asked why I had opened it - I explained that it was too hot not to have a window in my room. She then tried again to close both windows, not just the broken side, but I argued with her until she left the functional side open. Later that evening I spent nearly half an hour helping other guests enter through the screen door leading from our hallway to the porch - it is a very tricky door with a trick to it (you have to lift the door up as you turn the key) and the hosts didn't explain this to us when we arrived. You can't even open the door from the inside without doing this. I was also confused as to why I was instructed to leave my keys in the room when I left...if I had done this I not only would have been unable to open the screen door, but I wouldn't have been able to get out of the courtyard in the morning.

The place is great, the location could not be closer to the beach. Room was very nice and Italian style, clean and the property is maintained really well. Lucilla is wonderful host, very helpful, nice and welcoming, also available for us in case we needed some local tips and information.
